Hello, dear neighbors!

We’re thrilled to invite you to our much-loved annual West End Bicycle Parade and Zero Waste BBQ, taking place on Saturday, July 29th. We’re calling it, “Bonanza Day!” This event promises to be a fantastic day filled with food, fun, and music for the whole family. So, gather your bikes, decorations, and creativity, and join us for a day of pedal-powered joy and scrumptious BBQ treats!

The bicycle parade will begin at 10:00 AM, starting from DeMeo Park. We encourage participants of all ages to dress up in their most imaginative outfits and decorate their bikes with unique and colorful adornments. The parade route will meander through our picturesque neighborhood streets, allowing everyone to enjoy the beautiful weather and the vibrant spirit of our community.

After the parade, at 12:00 PM, we’ll gather back at DeMeo Park for our delightful community BBQ. The West End Association will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, burger fixings, and ice water. We kindly ask neighbors to bring a dish to share and any preferred liquid refreshments. This potluck-style feast is always a fantastic opportunity for us to bond over delicious food and get to know each other better.

As a Zero Waste event, we encourage attendees to bring their own utensils, plates, napkins, and cups to minimize our environmental impact. Let’s demonstrate our commitment to sustainability while enjoying this festive gathering!

In addition to the food and parade, we’ll have live music, face painting, and a bouncy house for the little ones, as well as a raffle with fabulous prizes donated by our generous local businesses.

We’re seeking volunteers to help with set up, clean up, monitor the bike parade, and more. Your support is invaluable in making this event a success. Please let us know if you’re interested in lending a hand.
